Are composite doors better than uPVC doors?
While both products are great, composite doors have the edge. Coming with a robust timber or foam core, composite entrance doors are proven to be more durable and secure than other materials. The inclusion of said core also aids the noise reduction and thermal retention properties of the door.
With that being said, uPVC doors are still a fantastic option with well rounded performance levels. They are also almost always the most cost effective choice.
Are these composite doors certified?
They are. Both of the two composite doors that we install adhere to the requirements of Secured by Design. This means that they deliver the police preferred level of security for your home. You can have complete peace of mind with both our timber core and foam filled composite front doors.
Our composite doors can also hold BSI Kitemarks and can come with ABS and Ultion locking mechanisms.
What other entrance doors do Jewel offer?

Are composite doors low maintenance?

You’ll simply need to give the door a clean periodically, removing dust and debris from any moving components. Once or twice a year, we recommend you lubricate these moving components, to ensure they operate smoothly for years to come.
